Hi, Marty. This is a tardy response due to my having the flu recently.

I first found the bug in the Visual FoxExpress framework (5.0) which has been thoroughly debugged. The I/O in the sample program was written by Toni Feltman to replicate the problem in a simple environment. I'm trusting that Toni did it correctly but I will try to check out your suggestion.
