Of cource you're right when you say that adding a timer to the_screen object is a dirty solution, but when you never have made a project using top-lever forms and must switch to developing applictions within top-level forms i find it a somewhat drastic decision. The cure could be worse than the desease.

I never have develloped a application using top level forms and from what i read within the MS knowledgebase i don't want to take the step. So i'm happy with my solution.
