I'm not quite sure what you're trying to say (as you know English is not my native language) but when if mean: if i can judge about something in which i don't have practical experience, I would say:

If you have a strong theory and you're convinced about this, you can. Theory and prictice could cause some collision as you know.

But okay lets discuss the two options and let us agree that there are two solutions which both are not ideal under all circumstances.
