Hi Paul ---

These are all good ideas. Are you going to DevCon, maybe to discuss them face to face?

>2. To improve the presence of VFP in trade publications
>
>How: By contacting editors and informing them of applications and solutions using VFP. VFP can be in conjunction with other tools (even VB).
>
>3. To develop and encourage members of the VFP community to write articles about VFP solutions that can be sent to the above publications. These articles would be from the "we had a problem to solve and VFP was a good fit" versus "VFP is the be-all, end-all tool."
>
>How: By seeking information about the ways in which people use VFP. If someone is developing a unique, sophisticated or complex solution, working with them to develop an article. Possibly by interviewing and then composing an article or asking the person to write one. Then offering *confidential* editorial work. Everyone will be allowed to write and all comments will remain confidential unless the author *agrees* the information can be shared.
>
>Note: This is not writing a how-to for Advisor, but instead an article showing VFP as a possible solution and why it was chosen. Advisor and all the other VFP pubs are great for us but don't get read much outside of our community.
>
>Goal 1 is really the one that seems to set everyone off.
>Goal 2 is the best way of dealing with Goal 1.
>Goal 3 is the best wat to accomplish Goal 2 because editors love to read a completed piece rather than help somebody come up with an idea.
>
>The respoitory, FAQ wharehouse and all the other ideas are a great idea but they really should be to support the above goals.
>
>I would say that's my two-cents worth but I think it's more like a $1.56.
