Larry, I don't see anything obvious in what you've given us, but I'd go through the code in detail and see if somewhere there's a line where
.cJobNo is being found rather than just cJobNo; that's bitten me before. if you use macro expansion, check to see if maybe there's an extra '.' in a macro expression.
