If u're database is in Sequel Server give permissions for TCP/IP
and create a dsn to connect through TCP/IP number
Try to connect to the sequel server through TCp/IP from the sql client

I did not try it but I think it will work with ADO's with the dsn that connects to the server if it connects from the sql client with the general syntax.
