>I am currently on a contract using VFP for equivalent $56 per hour. I have seen another contract using FPW2.6 for equivalent $72 per hour. Can anyone see any reason in this? Could it be that fewer people want to do FPW any more? I would certainly do it for the money, but what about future contracts? Would this go against me?
Hi Nigel,
In the UK rates can vary depending on many criteria.
Location, Business Area, Length of contract, Level of knowledge, Agency fees ...
to name but a few.
I have seen rates both above and below your examples, for both FPW and VFP.
I don't think its nearly as simple as product v product.
Somebody recently posted a URL to a US site showing a list of rates vs products, with contractory anonymously sharing their info. I'll put a similar survey up on my company web server and we'll see what comes in.
Any suggestions as to what needs to be asked?
I'll post the URL in a couple of days once it's up and running.
