I develop real world applications in a real network and i did never discover any benefit to the DELETED() tag.

When some say that if you don't have an index on deleted() rushmore won't work, i would say this is simply not true (markus egger). and some give an example which should show the benefit of DELETED() turned out to be just something that was overlooked (example David Frankenbach).
