You are right about the messagebox. I got the same errors. So it is not just you. The help file says that getfldstate(-1) returns a string so it should work but it doesn't?? I am not sure why. But I tried just printing it to the screen using a ?getfldstate(-1) and that worked.

If anybody know what getfldstate(-1) actually returns or why it doesn't work with the messagebox. I had buffering on and I just used the command ?messagebox(getfldstate(-1)).
