When we discovered that the Event Viewer reported several User Connections maximum connections has been reached, we increased the value of User Connections to 250.
We then discovered that SQL Server started to report that there was insufficient memory to execute the request. We then decided to go in SQL Server Enterprise Manager, select our server and click on Configure to change the value. We then found that we also got this insufficient memory there. So, we had no way to changing this value back to its original value.
We had to start SQL Server with minimal configuration and apply a lot of processes in order to change this value.
We then increased the memory value to 128 megs. How come SQL Server allowed us to change a value if the memory value was not high enough?
