Sorry guys, I am not convince at all with the "bying a framework" idea at all. I am not a super VFP expert but I have 15years of development behind me. I just switch to VFP some month ago and I tried the "bying a framework" option some month ago (Promatrix in my case).
Now, after having gone throught some experiences, here is my very personal point of view:

Buying a framework is very usefull to learn but...
- Once you understand a bit how vfp works, I think you discover that it is not as complex as you thought. Doing your own stuff is not very complex and not as long as they want you to think it is...
- The commercialized frameworks are build for everythink. The result is a lot of functionnality you will not need and a lot of complexity you definitely don't need to have.
- THe complexity of these framework reflect both on the user side and on the developer side.
- In my personal case, I found out that it was easier to build a brand new simple (very simple) framework that fits exactly for my needs. Of course I took a lot of idea from the commercial framework.

(This is the point of view of someone without a lot of vfp experience so beware...)

>>>Chuck, I have been using Mere Mortals for about 3 months now. It's not that bad of a learning curve, it's really OOP. And if your Follow OOD, then Mere Mortals will follow quite nicely.

I like to ask what you experience with frameworks. I was told that "data centered" framework are flexable with SQL Server while "form centered" framework works best for forms (front end). I am looking for "form centered" framework. I was told that "Codebook" is "data centered". Can you help with which are "form centered" framework and which works well (and what would be the cost $$). If you just list the names, like "FoxExpress", "FireFox", etc, that will not help me, I need more than "titles" descrptions.
