All this is OK, both your remarks and Walter's arguments. What I to object here is his insistence that until somebody proves him wrong, he's right. Not because he says it makes it so.

As i recall, this about the subject that VFP cannot use the fulll index scan. I did test this at home and could not find any prove that it does. Herefore i can only use my theory. Because no-one has proven this (or says he has a case which does) i do regard this that i'm right unlill proven otherwise.

Newton has proved that what goes up must come down. His theory is proven, untill some else will prove otherwise.

I know i sound a bit arrogant, but i really do feel it in this way. On the other hand i will alway's admit that i'm wrong when there is enough evidence i am.
