>I only use the query builder to get me jump started. There is a known bug with the way the query builder writes the INNER JOINs. Select your fields and tables and then copy the SQL out to add in your WHERE clause. The view designer is not real useful except to get you started.

Thanks for the feedback. That pretty much confirms my hunch.

I'm quite confortable writing SQL code so it just took a little bit more to enable me to write a view generator. The sql window in the view designer did help to see what I needed.

The only problem I can see in generating a view from code is that in Visual Fox Express I can't see the view parameters in the DBC. (I can see them when I identify them in the view designer.) So far that has not been a problem.
