> Mike, I've seen VFE through John Harvey.

Yeah, I know. I figured that since you're an associate of John that gave me the right to bust your chops a little bit. :-)

> You cant' get a better salesman now can you :)

If there's one out there, I sure don't know about him.

> Having purchased VPM, and stopped using it, I can say that your product is far superior in numerous ways. Your UI is easier to modify, lookups are done better and folowing a old standard of CodeBook is better than trying to create a new one and not tell the world about it.

Thanks for keeping the list short. :-)

> My initial memory of VFE5 was that you followed the steps of Data, BizObj, user Interface. It is hard to work on a bizobj without the data underneath? My method to the madness is that the design comes first, the data may change underneath as proto typing is done and then the interface is decided upon.

I agree, I just don't look at creating the bizobjs as part of the design. I look at it like this: you do Use Case Analysis to determine what the business objects are, you look at the properties you've identified for the business objects to determine what the data is, then you actually create the data sources. As far as creation goes, yes, at least to use our wizards the bizobjs will have to know what data they are going to talk to though.

> To me the BizObj is the rules of the business that the data contains. Separating the concepts is the difference between VB & VFP. They can't and we can! From John it seems that ver 6 can do so also.

I'm not sure I understand this. I actually look at is as they have to, we can, since data is still basically separate in VB.

> You have a great product. Hands down the wizards really guide the developer to acomplishing a ton of work in about 5 hours. That's what it's all about. I'm sure that VFE is more than a RAD tool. It is a FrameWork! It's looks to be robust and developer friendly.

Thanks.

> A great choice for developers who are looking for a jump in and run with type of product.

That's the part I take exception to. There's a lot of this thinking out there and I really don't understand why. People that use the product generally don't feel that way.
