Denise,

White areas of a BMP merge with the back color of the object it is on. You can create a .MSK file which is just a BMP with a different extension. You can just make the whole thing black, or color in the white areas you want to stay white with black.

Whenever I preview the bmp at the spot where you can select it (you know, push button where you type in the caption and can select the bmp and all that)... whenever I preview it there are parts of the bmp that are colored white (whitespace around the picture, portions of the picture, etc.) However, whenever I finish building the button and look at it on the form, something has done a universal replace on the white color and left it with black or purple or something. I thought maybe this was just something with my video but the effect made it into the exe that's to be distributed tomorrow (and which was tested on a different machine). Any clues?
