Another, more serious, use would be to trigger the equivalent of a PACK when greater than a certain # or certain % of all records were DELETED().
LOCAL nDeletedCount
Select (cSomeAlias)
COUNT TO nDeletedCount FOR DELETED()
IF nDeletedCount > nSomeTriggerValue
   *  TIme to PACK the donuts...
