Just the opposite: you should be praised for your open-minded, businesslike comparison of tools. Some people (myself included, at times) stick with VFP because it's pretty much all they know. However, I am the first to say that VFP is not the best tool for all jobs. When it comes to creating ActiveX controls, and for having multiple vendor support, you are 100% correct that C++ wins hands down.

On the other hand, you have to admit that C++ is not exactly the easiest or most intuitive development language, and there are just some things that VFP is better suited for. Creating a database application in C++ ranks right up there with using a chainsaw to slice a loaf of bread: sure, it can be done, but why on earth would you want to, if there's something better available?

I wish you the best of luck in your works with VFP. You've got a HUGE user community here on the Thread to call upon for help. We may not always get along, but we pretty much are working toward the same goal: getting the most out of Visual FoxPro.
