Vidar,

I stopped using 256 colors a couple of years ago. I normally use 64k on my systems now. You can try changing SET PALETTE to see if it helps.

>I'm running a P90 with Windows 95 and 256 colors. I'm constantly having trouble with the bitmaps (.bmp) I use in my activedesktop. Their colors flicker/changes whenever I take an action that makes the _screen object loose or get the focus (for instance closing a form or when a timer fires). The colors often get back to normal after a series of flicker/color changes, but somethimes I have to take some action (like clicking on one of the activedesktop objects) for the colors to reset. This got much worse after I just installed the "Visual Foxpro 6.0 Gallery and FFC files" and "Visual Foxpro Setup Wizard" updates available from Microsoft. The flicker goes away if I set Windows to use more than 256 colors, so I guess this has something to do with the Windows 95 color/screen refresh engine. Do oyou know of a solution or if this problem is fixed in Windows 98? I created the bitmaps using Paintshop Pro and saved them with 16 colors. I've carefully checked that the 3 colors used in the bitmaps
