In the book "Hacker's Guide to VFP 6" they have an example on page 511 showing how to clear the TAG and TAG2 fields on the fly. However, the example shown does not work since when you create a CURSOR from using the SELECT the resulting CURSOR is READ ONLY! I like the idea of putting this into all of my code but I have been having trouble creating the table as a NON READ ONLY CURSOR so I can blank the TAG and TAG2 fields. I tried to CREATE CURSOR and then APPEND into that cursor from the SELECTED CURSRO and can't get that to work either.

Any Ideas?
