Yes that is a RPITA index. But then it's "Sad But True"

What I do is to have a function in my prg that the query is run from.

Func g_retsdx
param a, b
return a

The index never bothers me if I include that. Now I also went and changed the index and took out the function and replaced it with UPPER(). But my users figured that one out real quick. Seems that that soundex is what is used in the browses.
