Activate event.

>>>Hi Bruce!
>>>Well, if I use a plain form (with only a "CLEAR EVENTS" in the unload event), it works fine. I then discovered that this problem happens when my toplevel form calls a modal, in-toplevel form during the Init event (for the user to select a record to start with). What's even more strange is that the close button is enabled whenever the form does NOT have focus. Something about that form used in the Init...

>Well, at least you found the problem -- I know from experience that launching a form from an activate of another can cause problems. When you close the child, activate refires in top-level, for one thing...perhaps another solution would work better, like putting record selection in popup container, on toolbar, something like that...
Or perhaps set a form property to go .T. after the form.activate fires the first time...
