Good suggestion.

I personally don't even use Word.

It is too bad that functionality/security has to be a trade-off. Before users in our company are given more Internet access, we will have to have a hard look at whether or not they will even be allowed to accept attachments.

The fact is, the Word document could have any title. The best option is to never open a Word document (or Excel, etc.) unless you've talked to the creator of that document. If someone is sending a Word document to show me text, I tell them to convert to ASCII.
