And where did you hear of 5.5 from ?

As far as I know, the next version is not a major upgrade, so it hardly justisies a .5 increase in its number.

Also, the Visual Studio products are ALL at version 5 (C, VB etc) so it is very likely that it will be labelled 5.0 - perhaps with an "a" to indicate the bug fixes they sneaked in.
