For the ODBC driver to work you need the following Components installed.
From the "oracle" installer.
SQLNET* Client.
Required Support Files
Oracle TCP/IP Protocol Adapter (maybe NetBui if your net on TCP IP)
Oracle ODBC Driver
Maybe SQL Net8 Client

If you can connect in Developer 2000 you should be able to connect in
foxpro...

Also make sure that your tnsnames.ora file is correct for your network.

About distributing files with the app.

You could look into ISV's at
http:\\technet.oracle.com

Your application will be installed using an oracle type installer or with a seperate install wizard.

I may use this to distrubte the server portion of my application.
