Our company is developing an application which uses Catalyst software's SocketTools v3.0 and VFP5. When trying to distribute the application, every time we try to create an SMTP object, we get an error which states "Error 1019 - Product is not licensed for use on this system." After speaking with the rep from catalyst, he stated that this was a problem with VFP5 and ActiveX: "This is a problem with VFP and ActiveX controls. In most other Microsoft Visual development languages, the license is written to the compiled program. This is not the case with VFP5."

My question is, has this changed at all with VFP6? If we upgrade, does it seem likely that this will be fixed?
