What I've started doing is clearing out TAG and TAG2 in the first record (OBJTYPE=1). As for the expression field, I'll defer to the article in the April 1999 FoxPro Advisor, which recommends keeping only the items common to all printers, i.e. ORIENTATION,PAPERSIZE,SCALE,COPIES=1 and DEFAULTSOURCE.

Also, TAG and TAG2 will be re-populated when the report is run, so you have two options -

1.FLUSH TAG and TAG2 - REPL TAG WITH SPACE(0)),TAG2 WITH SPACE(0) right before the REPORT FORM command,
2. Flush them once and then mark your FRX and FRT read only.

I use the read only approach.
