>John P. has made it obvious that he sees NO benefit/validity/future for >a VFPDA.

On the contrary... Instead of being a Lemming, I am asking the question Why do we need a VFPDA. I see a lot of high concept, nice sounding rhetoric in a mission statement. The kind of stuff I read about in my first year of business school. Now, I wan't to see the tactical plan. More importantly, I wan't to see somebody tell me what problem this orgranization solves. To go along with that, somebody has to tell me how it would solve the problem, and how it would overcome some major obstacles.

If it were a free organization, I probably would not care. $'s were/are being solicited. That brings things into a whole new realm. Of course, I would still probably ask the question.

You are too kind. Thanks for the vote of confidence.... Clearly, you are speaking from experience here....aren't you.. < bg >

>I have written before that I see him as a "stealth" MS marketer. He may be losing some of that stealthiness, like F117 #806 seems to have over Serbia.

Me...stealth. Jim, I am like a bull in a china shop. I am as big a VFP supporter there is. 2 books, 50+ articles, numerous examples posted here, VFP website, all go that. I don't need to join a feel-good-about-ourselves organization to prove my comittment to VFP. Most importantly, I don't think anybody should have to pay $'s to join such an organization. At the very least, have a freaking game plan before pan-handling. I guess that is what really stokes me about this whole thing....

>If a VFPDA develops to have good intentions it will evolve and succeed despite John's naysaying, and if it doesn't he can always say he was right.

Hey, I hope it does succeed. And, if a good game-plan is in the works, I will become a card-carrying member. I just taking the opposite position here and asking the question..... WHY do we need such an organization...
