I just saw an add for WOW in SQL-Server Mag. I think a Fox app has won on several occasions. In fact, I think Rod had a winning app.

How come? Because it is not needed. The user group community filled the void before. Heck, we had a 200 member Philly user group back in 1992. Today it is non-existent. The New York PADD tried something. I think it was succesful for a while. There are three PADD groups still: North Jersey, NYC, and WestChester County.
