>>Now how do you sell N-Tier to only a handful of developers that understand what it is? In our user group we see only 10 people a month. Of that # I'd say 3 of us comprehend it and the rest will nod their heads like they understand it.

>Most VFP developers realize they need to do it, they just don't know exactly what it is or where to start. Those that do know, also know how much work it is, and therefore, are also excellent prospects for us. By providing a framework and RAD tool that can build n-tier apps out of the box, we reduce the pain and learning curve dramatically.

>We're not really targeting VB developers with VFE. I'd love to, but first we'd have to sell them on VFP and I don't think the ROI would be there. We do have preliminary plans for tools to create VFP bizobjs as COM objects that would be marketed strictly as a tool for creating COM/DCOM business objects for any environment, but that's further down the road.

Now that's a plan I like.

How about tools for e-commerce. EDI has been around for a long time yet there is little if nothing out there as a drop in into VFP. Just an idea.

What type of industrys are you interested in targeting? A general tool is fine, but to tailor to Banking, insurance, manufacture, wholesale dist, or to combine classes that fit one or all of them would be better.

Looks like it's time to create a standard.
