I know the typical reaction to this virus is to curse the creator(s).
I have a different point of view: I think that this is a good lesson to computer users that blindly opening Email message attachments is dangerous.
The macro really isn't too destructive. It doesn't open your last 5 documents, delete all of the text, type a (rude) message, and save. It doesn't create a document and save it in your Windows directory with a filename that might be a system file. It doesn't format your hard drive.
I think this is a relatively nice way to get across a serious message.
I am not suggesting that this was the motive. I have no idea about that.
