>The VFPDA being an accredited body.....by whom. It can't be accredited by itself. Are you saying the VFPDA would be on par with the AICPA, the AMA, etc? I think you may be expecting a bit too much from things. And, if it were an accredited body, it would need some type of exam to gain entry.

I speak in terms of having some Professional organization in which Developers can belong, whatever the qualifications, to give another reason to distinguish ourselves as well as give credence to VFP as a legitimate tool. Of course you can provide qualification standards ( or tests ) yourself. Organizations, like M$, come up with what they believe the standards should be and if you are to become a member you must qualify ( this being the body that accredits ).

This statement is exactly the reason VFP developers should consider taking proactive actions. If not, at some point in future ( I believe sooner rather than later ) this will become a mute point.
