Erik -
I spent last night dissecting the app. you sent me. Once again, thanks for your time and effort for putting that together for me. I appreciate it more than you will ever know.
I implemented what I got out of that app. into my own and it worked perfect! It was very fun having something work for a change!!
I have two questions....of course.
I followed your solution to the letter. I used a grid for both the parent and child table. However, in my application, I am going to have text boxes for the parent, and a grid for the child.
I saw in the app. you sent me that you placed the following code:
lnParentID=Parenttbl.pk
Requery('childview')
ThisForm.childgrid.Refresh()
1. Would this be the same if I am using text boxes for the parent, versus a grid? I assume so. I would place this code in the REQUERY VIEW properties, just like this one is. I just want to make sure.
2. When I place a buttonset on the form, I am still going to have to attach code to this object to make it work properly, correct?
TIA
Jason
