You can set both Recordsource and Controlsources. Also, you may add Grid.Refresh after you finished all settings exactly in order you were advised.

One more thing: it's really difficult to reply when you cut off previous messages. I understand that you know very well about your problem. However, people around (e.g. me :-) can have some other problems and do not remember pretty good what's going on on your computer. I do not encourage you to repost your messages now, but I encourage you do reread them and try things carefully.
