OK, that's indeed more difficult. Have you tried to play with TXTWIDTH() and FONTMETRIC() to determine the line?

Another possibility (although it doesn't look as good) is to use a MODIFY FILE or MODIFY MEMO window without word wrapping being activated. Here you have several API functions to get the current line and column number as well as manipulating the contents of the window. But you have less control, for example you don't have a keypress event.
