The short answer is that I was looking for a q & d way of passing property arrays to some old array-handling functions that do not know what an object is. I was hoping not to have to create an entire new set of array functions just for object properties by figuring a way of passing array properties without their object.

If I had thought about it a little, I would have realized its like passing the smell without the body.
