You are right, of course, passing a property without the object is, and should be impossible. I just was not thinking about it clearly. Good article!.
p.s. I used your tip on popup/bar rowsources for listboxes to solve a problem in which I had to give a visual clue that part of the list was completed. I used popup/bar to display the completed elements of the list in strikeout font.
Worked pretty slick -- not as fast as I would like, but I expect to tweak it a little.
