Hi Jeff and Mark,

I have used both CIS and UT extensively. And, I have been using CIS regularly for the last several months. There is no question, the CIS forums are easier to use. With an OLR (Offline Reader), you can quickly run a script each (or as ofter as you'd like) that D/Ls ONLY the new msg and files desc since your last visit.

Jeff, I don't know when you last used CIS, but I have do disagree with everything you stated:

=========================================
>1. No Spam

There is absolutely NO spam on CIS.

>2. They had no file download area like this.

Totally wrong. The file "Libraries" are much better organized, and it's easier to search for keywords, and even browse the files in last uploaded order.

>3. Topics got off topic a lot more than here.

Rarely these days. There is now a "VFOX non-technical" section for all "chatter-like" discussion.

>4. Language used

Again, totally wrong. I have NEVER seen any offensive language used. In fact, almost everyone there is very tolerant of others, especially new VFP developers.

>5. Speed of Answers

Rarely does a question go more than 24 hrs without an answer. Many times within an hour.

>6. Accuracy of answers

Again, totally wrong. There are at least 4-5 VFP heavy-weights that participate daily or more frequently. And they're not afraid of correcting one-another if need be. Some of the best help available for VFP is on the CIS VFOX forum.
=============================================

Even though I have to paid for mytime on CIS, I find it very cost efficient because it minimized my time spent reviewing new msg and files.

If you have any questions, please let me know.

Best Regards,
jmu
