Ed, you cut me to the quick.< bg > Seriously, no one was happier than I to see those functions become part of the language in 6.0. However (George starts "preaching to the choir" here), just because they have is no reason to overlook Foxtools now. Several functions which are useful in handling common tasks, like string parsing, still remain there. If I were a betting man, I'd wager that the next functions to "come up" from Foxtools would be Words(), Wordnum(), and NextWord(). The unfortunate thing about it, however, is that the documentation on their usage that normally comes with VFP is wrong. I've mentioned this to Microsoft, and have been told that the information was passed onto the documentation team.

If I were still working in 5.0, and I knew that eventually I'd be moving to 6.0 and I wasn't using these functions in Foxtools, I'd start. That way I could eliminate some unnecessary functions with the knowledge that all I'd have to do is re-compile.
