I am using a combo box to allow users to select a name prefix (Mr, Ms, Dr, etc) from a list and store it in a file of contacts.

I have the rowsource = sele prefixname from genref into cursor tmpprefix - the controlsource is set to the field in the view where the prefix is stored - This combobox is on the second page of a page frame where people are selected on the first page and the fields are populated on the second

My problem is that when I get to the second page the prefix is blank. Not only in the combobox but also in the view.

What gives? This should be simple and I am sure that I am overlooking something here really basic but I'm stymied.
