I'm using an .ini file on a server to manage updates for a VFP program which runs locally on all users' systems.
Mostly we have Win95 with Win NT server V4. Also some Win NT workstations.
The .ini file stores some file download/update info which the client systems read on startup. The problem is that with about 80 users that the .ini is occasionally getting locked! I'm simply using the Win API, (readprivateprofile if I remember correctly) to return the info from the server based .ini file. Even making the .ini file read only doesn't help.

Has anyone heard of a problem like this?
