Yeah, I even initialized the parameter with a lcBgnDate = '10/01/1995' before trying to create the view. What puzzles me is that you do not have to do this when actually creating the view --
create sql view myview remote connection mycon1 share as .... If I put in a non-date parameter, e.g.,
?lcBusName, the view is created. If nothing else, I can create the remote view based on another parameter, then create a local view based on the remote view using the date parameter. :(
