I bet you have your tables in a different directory than the DBC - right? If you keep them in the same directory when you create it, you should be able to move them without troubles.
"But how do I get out of THIS mess" you may ask. Well, after you BACK UP YOUR DBC FILE, you can simply USE it as if it were a table (it IS a table), Browse it to locate the table object definitions, and carefully edit the memo field containing the table name and path to point to the new location - without removing any other characters in the memo field.
I suspect that otter do it.
