Well, for lack of a more exact way to put it, vfp6 seems a little more "finicky" about the way objects are released sometimes, I've seen it too...the more explicit in 6, the better, it seems...and coding that was maybe slightly sloppy in 5 but worked anyway gets caught up in 6, that's my impression
