>>>Hi All
>>>
>>>Got all my last confirmations for Devcon, hotel, airfare, etc....last year I had to cancel less than 3 days before the conference due to client emergency....Also was lined up to attend several years ago for the first Orlando DevCon but also had to cancel with days to spare.
>>>
>>>Anyone know any appeasement rituals to keep the gods of fickle IT issues from pooping on my DevCon this year? :-)

don't listen to that voice mail.
Removing the battery from the pager and replacing it with a known, dead battery is much greater insurance that you won't be disturbed during DevCon, and you won't need to buy a new pager after you return. Remember, a dead battery is a
hardware problem; programmers can't be expected to fix such things themselves...
