You would really only need to do this if you are opening a View with data. Opening a View with NODATA would not require this. However, I got caught on this when the FIRST record in a table was deleted and it showed on a form until I moved the record pointer. If opening a view, you do need to do the SETs and initialize and parameter if the view is parameterized.
