Good morning John,

When you install VFP 6.0 you don’t have to install it into the deep layer folder set up Microsoft has set up. Tell it to install in your own folder you want. As for working between VFP and your projects you can go under Tool/options and select File Locations. Then set your default, and paths. Each time you start VFP that will be your Default folder.

Alternately I have a form that come up when you start VFP that you can set your different projects to and it will set the default and paths for the project you are working on. If you are interested I will be happy to send you a copy.

Also the COB group has also just come out with a utility that will set your defaults and paths. I haven’t used it yet but you may want to give it a try. It’s a Freebee. You can get it from their web site or off the UT files section.

I hope this has helped
