I have 2 tables that I would like to set up a temporary relationship for. The customer table has a field called cus_acct and the student(child) table has a field called stu_acct. I would like to set the relation based on these fields.

I have struggled with this for awhile now without any luck. It seems as if the reason I am having problems is that the field names in the 2 files are not the same. Is this true?

I do have an index in the student file called stu_acct which is STR(stu_acct)+STR(stu_sub) I also have an index in the customer file called cus_acct which is simply cus_acct. These fields (cus_acct, stu_acct and stu_sub) are Numbers and not Characters.

Can I set a relation like I am proposing?
