I like the idea of building the view on the fly. I found an article in FP advisor that shows how to do so. To do this, I think I'm going to have to install my dbc's locally. Not quite sure of the implications of doing so. I always put them on the network.

Do you think it would be better to just run a query into a cursor, then make it updateable using CUSORSETPROP()? Can you duplicate the functionality of a View this way? Sounds like a better idea then screwing around with the DBC.
