I had the user in the Administrators local group but they could still not change any setting on the printer what I had failed to do was put her Domain account into the Administrators local group so that when she was logging on to the domain that account was only assigned user privilages and could not administer the printer. I don't know if this will help but you could check and see if putting the end users account into the print operators group or give her account full control permission to the printers. I just thought you could check first and see if the document defaults are set to automatic select for paper source. I hope this helps if not email me. Good luck
