>I don't know, Ed. Then again, I'm not lawyer. As Jim mentioned, this appears to be a bug. In both cases, the year to begin with is invalid. That's why I mentioned trying to trap for year 0. Interestingly enough (IMO), is that using the short date format eliminates this problem. It only can occur when 4 digits are entered (and that's tough to enforce).

I don't know either, and I'm sure some workaround is available, but it's sad to see date-related bug in new version just few months before Y2K.
